Rusty Manufactorum-painting rusty rust

Obeisance dear blog  followers, it's rust time :))....
After spraying in black, manufactorum is smudged whit brown color, first with dark brown pigment and after with lighter brown.

Salting time.....
Apply hair spray (with a brush or airbrushon brown places and salt them quickly before the hair spray dries....Salt can be big or small, depends on what you have in the kitchen ....

After the salt is dry and accepted to the surface, we painted a lighter color on surface; and waited for it to dry......

.....after the paint has dried (can be dried with a hair dryer), lightly remove salt with some old brush and water....

....to get this results...

...paint metal parts in metal :), and wash them with black wash; after drying, rivets and other parts of the manufactorum are painted with orange pigment, to get rusty leak look...

                                                             ...hope to avail you all...

Let´s make it simple - Salamander space marine

Howdy!

Our next tutorial is about Salamanders space marines. We will show you how to paint simple and table top quality miniature. Enjoy!

Colors:
Black undercoat
Dark angels green
Snot green
Goblin green
Chaos black
Chainmail
Dwarf bronze
Blood red
Bleached bone
Mechrite red
Nuln oil wash
Devlan mud wash

First, undercoat whole model with black undercoat. Then, we´ve airbrushed whole model with dark angels green and when was dry we´ve airbrushed whole model with snot green.
Then, next step is to wash model with nuln oil (recesses are washed, not the whole model). When its dry, paint bolter, joints, mouth grille, backpack vents and chest parts with chainmail. Use chaos black to paint bolter and use standard color set for purity seal (I use bleached bone and mechrite red).

When it´s all dry, use dwarf bronze for skulls and Imperial eagle on bolter. Paint shoulder pads with chaos black.

Wash! :) wash purity seal and dwarf bronze parts with devlan mud.

Paint eye lenses with blood red, then wash them lightly with nuln oil. Highlight whole model (or just some parts) with goblin green. And you are done!

Cheers!
